This pendant was cast from an actual bean, so it has all the charm of its natural counterpart. I was inspired to make it as a nod to Victorian Bean jewelry - 

(The trend began with actual drift seeds (or "sea beans") that washed up on beaches which were seen as lucky because they could germinate after being in the ocean.) over time they began to symbolize growth, endurance, fertility and new beginnings.

It makes a great marker for a new mom, or anyone on the precipice of a fresh start.
