Inspired by nostalgia, memory and the joy of self expression.
Hey Hello!
I’m Rikki - a mostly self taught silversmith, creating jewelry with many different mediums for the past 15 years. Through souvenir handmade, I like to create meaningful jewelry using recycled sterling silver, bronze, semi precious stones, and vintage elements.
I love vintage and history so it is a huge inspiration. Using that vintage sensibility with a modern approach, my jewelry invites the wearer to connect to their own unique story. I also aim to call back to a time where even the humblest of objects were made with care, beauty and quality. Made to last, be treasured, and passed down.
The art of getting dressed and how we choose to adorn ourselves is my other driving force. I know it goes beyond the surface, and can be used to signal to the world just exactly who you are, which is just a beautiful thing!
I feel very honoured and lucky to be doing what I love the most to do - making jewelry with my own two hands and sharing it with you. I have been lucky enough to sell my work in amazing independent shops all over Canada, sent pieces to places all over the world and have participated in countless local markets.
I recently have also taken some time to develop my skills, learning the art of lost wax casting at Penland school of Craft, and in the fall I will begin honing my silversmith skills even further through a one year silversmithing diploma via an online course.
When I’m not making jewelry, you can find me cozy at home with my cat Moo and my partner. I love to thrift, travel, sing, make good food and most recently make miniatures just for fun.
I work in a sunny bright spot in an old stationary warehouse, in Winnipeg’s historic exchange district.
Thanks for being here and having an interest in what I do!
xo
