We can only gain

I wrote this a few years ago, but it bears repeating.

We can only gain, if people feel respected / supported / loved / allowed to be and just live, exactly as their most authentic, amazing beautiful selves - in all their different forms and expressions, when it’s coming from a place of love. 

What people do with their lives, who they love, how they present themselves to the world - that’s theirs to honour. It should be respected, protected + celebrated.

We can choose to see things from outside our own perspective. Hear other stories, outside our little boxes, to see others viewpoints. So that we might understand a bit more, fear a little less. See other humans for exactly who they are - human and deserving of all the same things we would want for ourselves and for those we love around us. Let’s do our best to move in the world from a loving place + move forwards not backwards, so that everyone can have space to enjoy their lives in the ways that are authentic to them.

Everyone deserves that.
